Meet The Artist
Dawn Laggy is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans murals, fine art, and tattooing, known for creating deeply expressive, detail-rich pieces that draw clients and collectors from across the country. Her artistic journey began early, gaining formal recognition through the Gloucester County Cultural Arts & Heritage Society (2011–2012), where her work was featured in front-page news on April 26, 2012—marking the beginning of a steadily growing public presence.
In 2015, Dawn experienced a defining creative chapter while staying at a sacred temple in Barnegat, New Jersey, where she completed 18 murals in 18 days—an immersive body of work that reflects both her endurance and her spiritual connection to art. From a young age, she carried a vision of painting large-scale murals, inspired by the monumental works of Michelangelo—a childhood dream that became a lived reality in this period of her life.
From 2014 to the present, she has continued to create large-scale murals for private residences and businesses across New Jersey and Florida, building a reputation for transforming spaces into visual storytelling environments.
In 2023, she opened The Gallery Ink, a tattoo and art studio that quickly rose to prominence for its quality, artistry, and client experience. As the sole artist of the studio, every piece is personally created by her hand. Under her leadership and craftsmanship, the studio has earned the #1 Best Rated Quality Business Award multiple years in a row (2024, 2025, 2026), recognizing excellence in service, reputation, satisfaction, and quality. She has also been a sponsored artist for Proper Aftercare, further solidifying her influence within the tattoo industry.
Dawn's work has reached a wide audience, with thousands of tattoos completed and original artwork sold to collectors nationwide. Clients regularly travel from across the United States specifically to be tattooed by her, drawn to her distinctive style, precision, and the emotional depth embedded in her work. Today, The Gallery Ink stands as both a creative hub and a destination studio—reflecting her commitment to artistry, integrity, and lasting impact in the world of contemporary tattoo and mural art.
The 6 Degrees of Separation Series is a conceptual extension of Dawn's practice, rooted in a simple but powerful idea: that human lives are deeply interconnected through unseen networks of influence, opportunity, and relationship, and that art has the capacity to enhance and transform those lives in infinite ways.
This series transforms the 6 Degrees of Separation theory into a living artistic movement—an exploration of how art shapes human experience through connection, introduction, and exchange.
Each work functions as both artwork and catalyst, designed to create meaningful intersections between people while extending its value beyond ownership into impact.
It operates as a living system where art becomes the bridge and connection becomes the medium.
A 30% commission is offered to the connector who facilitates the introduction leading to acquisition, reinforcing the principle that value is created through connection.
